EVERY FRIDAY, enjoy uplifting, contemplative, explanatory Friday Night service, a delicious meal and conversation. And, On the FIRST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH, soak up some after-dinner drinks, dessert, and thought-provoking presentations about the topics on everyone’s mind, followed by singing, storytelling, and spiritual insight with Rabbi C. - Jewish Ethics and the War in Gaza:
Community is proud to welcome special guest, Professor Lawrence H. Schiffman, Chair of NYU’s Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies and specialist in the Dead Sea Scrolls, Judaism in Late Antiquity, the history of Jewish law, and Talmudic literature. Professor Schiffman will raise important and challenging issues surrounding Jewish ethics and the current situation in Gaza.
